Clients love the idea on being able to open certain sections of the bespoke interior Shutters and keep others closed. For example customer’s increasingly ask for the ability to open the top third or quarter of their window shutter while keeping the remaining sections closed. The advantage of this is most apparent in a bedroom, a client can get changed etc in their room, with the lower sections closed, yet leave the top open. This allows natural light into the room, but stops people looking in. If a window has a fan light, this is an ideal place to include a midrail, thus dividing the louvre sections, however some windows have no natural break, so another solution is required. Enter the split louvre, our Shutter mechanism can be designed to divide louvre sections without the requirement of a midrail. For a demonstration call us on 01702 68 69 70 and book a free survey!

Of course interior plantation Shutters come in all shapes, sizes and styles, but by far the most popular configuration is a full height Shutter with mid-rail. Simply put, this configuration is when a Shutter covers the entire window or door and incorporates a midrail (a piece of material that is built within the Shutter door itself). The midrail has many benefits that include strengthening the Shutter but most importantly, provides the ability to divide louvre sections. With separate sections of louvres, customers can choose to close certain areas of the Shutter, while keeping others open. Excellent for privacy while allowing sunlight into a room.

Many of you will be returning home over the coming weeks from summer holidays across the continent. Many would have noticed that plantation Shutters are abundant across countries such as France and Spain. However you may also have noticed that some have opted for Cafe styled Shutters. Indeed this is something that happens in the UK too, when you have a window that needs a certain something to both finish it off and add privacy, cafe styled Shutters could be the option for you. Ever elegant and lower in cost due to their smaller dimensions, Cafe style Shutters are becoming a British favourite.

There are many subtle differences between certain Shutter products on the market today. Here at CP Shutters we will only ever use the most premium Shutter products around. We insist on the very best, down to the tiniest detail; like our Hidden rod option. Most Shutter companies offer a "Hidden rod" choice for their Shutters. This is achieved by removing a rod from the front of the shutter and instead riveting a thin, metallic rod too the rear of the door. This means you cannot see rods from the front of your Shutter, however you can see them from outside your home. At CP Shutters we don’t think this is good enough, so we have a truly hidden rod mechanism. Our Hidden rods are 100% hidden, clean both sides for the very best look. In addition, the lack of any rods means you cannot accidentally break them while cleaning. If you would like more information on this, or indeed wish to book a survey, why not call us today? on 01702 68 69 70

Here at CP Shutters we have always found that customers tend to ask for simple, elegant, white plantation Shutters. They make up at least 90% of our orders and generally dominate the interior Shutter market but in recent times, we have started to find our clients getting a little braver when it comes to colour choices.
Even in the past few weeks, we have installed a few more interior Shutters featuring a wood effect, be it Weathered teak or French oak, these Shutters look absolutely stunning in the right setting, making their owners homes the envy of their neighbours.
If you would like to learn more about the colours we offer throughout the CP Shutter range, call on 01702 68 69 70 where one of our members of staff will be happy to help.
